FAQ

Can anyone have reflexology?

There are only a small number of conditions that may mean you cannot receive a reflexology treatment. These include DVT and circulation disorders, broken bones or sores on the feet.

How long is a treatment?

In most cases a session of reflexology with Victoria is up to 60 Minutes. Your first session will be slightly longer as we have to discuss your health history before we begin.
It is recommended to have weekly treatments for the first 5 weeks for most conditions, then swap to monthly maintenance if required.

What Happens in a Session?

Unlike in a massage there is no need to get undressed, simply remove your socks and shoes! I have a very comfy anti- gravity chair which fully supports you during treatments. I use a lotion and/ or balm made from natural ingredients and suitable for sensitive skin.

Are you qualified?

Yes! I have completed my Level 3 Diploma in Reflexology, my Level 3 Anatomy and Physiology and I am a full Member of the Association of Reflexologist (AOR). I am also fully insured.

Is it just a foot massage?

Whilst some massage techniques are used to warm and relax the feet, reflexology uses finger walking and pressure point moves to access the reflex points. Pressure can be adjusted to suit your preferences. It does not tickle.

Can you diagnose if there is something wrong?

No, reflexology is not a medical treatment and does not claim to diagnose or cure. It works to rebalance your body systems, helping it to heal itself. Reflexology should not be used as an alternative to seeing your Doctor or taking prescribed medication or medical advice. I may notice things during a treatment that can suggest sometimes that there is an imbalance and I will always discuss these with you.
